The service

nthbouncer is a concurrency governor. You point a pool at an HTTPS origin or a PostgreSQL database. Callers use the pool URL and a pool key. The control plane at nthbouncer.com is the source of truth for organizations, pools, keys, and billing. The data plane on Cloudflare Workers admits or rejects traffic.

The product is in early access. Self-serve paid plans exist (Starter, Team, Business). Custom plans are arranged over email. New accounts get free requests to try it. Features and limits can change.

Your account

You need an account to create pools. You are responsible for the people you invite, the keys you mint, and the origins you point at. Keep pool keys secret. Rotate them if they leak.

You can delete organizations and your account from the dashboard.

What you may send through a pool

Only front origins you are allowed to use. Do not use nthbouncer to attack a service, to hide abuse, or to bypass someone else's limits in a way they forbid. We can suspend a pool or an organization if traffic looks like abuse, or if a spend cap or unpaid invoice requires it.

Credentials and keys

Upstream credentials are encrypted at the edge. The dashboard never keeps them. Callers never receive them. Pool keys are yours to manage.

We are not your origin. If the origin is down or rejects a call, that is between you and the origin.

Logs

We log admits and rejects. See Privacy and the Logs docs for what an entry contains. Retention follows your plan.

Billing

Self-serve plans are billed through Stripe. Usage above the plan allowance is metered. Custom plans go through [email protected]. Cancel from Billing in the dashboard. We may suspend access if a bill goes unpaid past the grace period.

No warranties we cannot keep

The service is provided as-is. Early access means we will break things sometimes. We will try not to. This page does not promise a specific uptime number.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, nthbouncer is not liable for lost profits, lost data at your origin, or damages that exceed fees you paid us in the prior twelve months. If you need a different deal, email [email protected].

Changes

We can update these terms. The current version lives at this URL. The date at the top changes when we do.
